Welcome to the second instalment of our new Meet the Bookstagrammers series. Designed to offer our readers a behind-the-scenes look at the life of a Bookstagrammer, this week we're chatting to one of our very favourite bookish accounts, Krystal from Bon Book Reviews.

Can you tell us a bit about yourself?
I’m a 30 year old book lover who was born in Canada, raised in a small coastal town on the far south coast and who moved to Newcastle NSW for university 10 years ago and haven’t looked back. I love to read, look after my 40 plant babies, Play D&D and travel the world (when I can again)
How did you get into Bookstagramming?
I started my Bookstagram account to keep track of what our book club was reading and what we thought and then it exploded into what it is now and I can’t imagine life without it.
What do you love most about the Bookstagram community?
I love talking books with people and although the people in my life read, they aren’t wanting to talk books on a regular basis. The community that is bookstagram has allowed me to find new books I never would have known about and create life long friendships from people around the world with like minded people. It’s a special place.
Which are your favourite bookish accounts to follow?
Oh, too many to list. There are some that I follow because they are amazing people and I am inspired by their lives, bookshelves and book recommendations and there are others I follow because they are amazing people and we talk on the daily basis. If I had to name a few though I would have to say I love @through.thepages, @Katie.reads.things, @shelflove, @lilactsandliterature, @_books_pretty_, @fortheloveofwineandbooks, @zukythebookbum @readthewriteact, @bookbookowl and @hayley_and_her_books
Do you stick to the same genre or try to mix it up?
I am a total genre whore… I will read almost anything… Non-fiction and I haven’t quite gotten there yet.
Do you have an all-time favourite book?
This is a book lovers most difficult question. I would have to say Inkheart though.
Are there any books you thought were over-hyped?
How long do you have? I think there are a few… but the few that spring to mind are The Gifted School, Serpent & Dove and The Maidens.
Is there a book that you’ve been meaning to read forever but haven’t yet got around to reading?
The Heartstopper Series! Hoping to get to it in September.
What would your perfect reading spot look like?
A comfy chair big enough to snuggle my legs up into, under a sunny window with a little table next to it with a cup of coffee and a bag of cheetos on it. Ideally surrounded by plants.
